Portraiture
Photographing the Gill family was a wonderful experience. I had so much fun spending the morning with them.
Speaking of family portraits, most of the people who talk about it, eventually end up in some studio somewhere only to get some pre-set poses here and there, just to get it over and done with, without really knowing what exactly they want in their minds.
But in Ranee’s case, when she contacted me sometime ago, and said she wanted to have her family portrait done at her home, I knew immediately that she was one person who knew exactly what she wanted!
Getting a great portrait is not about posing in such a way as to show a person on their best behavior as if in front of the FRU police, but to show the true beauty of that person when he or she is relaxed and enjoys the environment around himself or herself.
See, if you have the right mindset, this is what you are going to get.

Actual Day Weddings
Last week, I had the opportunity to photograph Asther and Francis’ wedding party at the Courtyard Garden Restaurant in KL.
It was a cosy affair of family and friends, both local and from abroad.
Once again, the bride is an avid blogger with her own website at:
Asther’s website
In fact, she is a Pro-Dive Master and underwater photographer based in KL!
While it is a joy to share in a couple’s special day as their wedding photographer, it is especially an honour when the bride or groom is also a photographer, because somehow, their expectations will always be so much higher.
Speaking of which, wedding photography and diving/underwater photography does have some similarities.
Just like a diver, I’m truly convinced that if a wedding photographer really wants to capture or produce extraordinary images in a wedding, he or she must be prepared to dive in both mentally and emotionally into the entire event, and be able to feel every emotion that the couple is experiencing on their special day.
And when you have successfully captured those priceless moments, you will feel like the diver who has gone on a dive mission to discover hidden treasure in sunken shipwrecks… simply ecstatic!
So now, here are some photos to share… enjoy!

Actual Day Weddings
Yes, I know I’ve not been updating my blog lately. I’ve been just so caught up with work. The past few weeks have been really hectic yet fulfilling, sharing in the special moments of many wedding couples, and the processing of many mountains of photos thereafter.I do hope though that within the next few days, I will be able to find some time to upload more photos to share in my blog.
Meanwhile, here is last weekend’s couple, Khai Siung and Yuenn. They are such a fun and loving couple. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment as their wedding photographer.
By the way, both of them are avid bloggers. Yes, really active bloggers who upate their blogsites as often as they can… unlike me!
If you would like to know more about how they met each other, do check out their blogs: (Yes, each of them has their own blog!)
