Prewedding
Both Su & Ray are residing in Sydney, Australia. When they first contacted me to be their pre-wedding & actual wedding day photographer, I had this question in my mind - why not shoot the pre-wedding in Sydney which is full of culture and where both the natural and man-made landscape is an extremely beautiful one for pre-wedding photography?
But after our first meeting, then I realized that for a couple who have migrated to Australia, the value of a “feels like home” pre-wedding shoot back in Malaysia is different and so much more valuable.
Ok, now let’s see the results of Su & Ray’s photoshoot in Kuala Lumpur City.

The following four photos are taken at Heritage Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Heritage Hotel Kuala Lumpur

Aren’t they gorgeous?
Just a day after Valentines, Patrick and Sharon had their Registration of Marriage-cum-Pre-Wedding Photography shoot at Putrajaya.
I just love the simple setting of enviroment. The Moroccon or Moorish architecture provides an exotic Middle Eastern feel, and Sharon’s ivory lace kebaya is absolutely stunning. It fits in perfectly with the setting! When this lovely bridal couple stepped into the JPN (Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara) office for their Marriage Registration, I just knew it was going to be a great shoot!
Patrick & Sharon, I’m really looking forward to your Actual Wedding Day in June and thanks for choosing me as your Registration of Marriage, Pre-Wedding and Actual Wedding Day Photographer.
It’s also such an honour to also be able to witness the special moment of your Marriage Registration, as your wedding photographer.

It was a real honour to be able to photograph Seng Yeat & Sook Leng’s Pre-Wedding recently at Pulau Ketam.
To get a wedding couple into the right mood for photography is hardly an easy task, but for Sook Leng & Seng Yeat, it took only a matter of a few minutes! Basically, we were on the same wavelength and they understood my guidance during the shoot from the start, and together, we were able to produce the desired results.
To me, the best kind of wedding photography brings out the true characteristics and personality of a couple. However, for most people who are not trained professional models, they may not know how exactly this works. The chemistry between a couple, namely the bond and love between the couple can surpass any such limitations in knowledge, much more than any posing or acting ability!
Basically, the couple needs to feel comfortable with and trust their wedding photographer and just relax, enjoy the moment, and be who they truly are. Just think of those little children who are so un-selfconscious and uninhibited when they are having fun and enjoying themselves in a playground, without any care of who or what is around them, and you will know what I mean.
And when a couple is able to do just that, you will in the end create together with your wedding photographer, the images that you will cherish for a lifetime, because they really do reflect those special moments.
Here are some photos from their shoot to share.

Any bride-to-be interested?
So far, I have not encountered any local couple having their pre-wedding shoot here. This is one of the favourite spots for the Hong Kong film-making industry.
The building is located in Batu Gajah, Perak, Malaysia. It is approximately 20 minutes’ drive from Ipoh town.
